5 Star Civilisation

I love the paradoxical life this cabin seems to be offering me this week.

I have properly moved into my little cabin now. I love it, and whilst it's pretty cold (welcome to NZ homes!) I have a fire burning away, some rugs down, and a little oil heater. It's like going back to the 1950's and working out how to best heat your home...

Anyway, last night I went out into my garden and was watching the stars - with crystal clear skies this week, the Milky Way stretches out above me every night. I can't even remember what 'city skies' are like, but I don't want to go back to that view. I like mine thanks very much!

Whilst gazing up at that mind-blowing spread of light, I must've been lucky enough to witness a bit of a meteor shower as I spotted 5 shooting stars in a matter of a few minutes. Awesome to behold.

GOOD NEWS!

Civilisation has reached my cabin! I have added to my new landline (+64 3731 1133), with broadband reaching into the house, which is where I am writing to you from now :)

I am writing on my new (second hand) laptop too... it arrived today, and was a right utter bargain on NZ's version of eBay - TradeMe. HP Compaq nc6220 for the geeks out there. I love it anyway.

So rest of the details (email address etc) remain the same, just the change of landline number.

Sweet as.

3 weeks to Borneo... bring it on!!!!
